Procedure for Registration
Parents must register at the Home School. To find your Home School, please use our School Seeker or call 905-527-5092, ext. 2391.
Parents may also complete this registration form and take it to their Home School.
Children who are turning 4 or 5 in 2010 are eligible to register for Kindergarten. To register your child, please bring the following:
- proof of status in Canada, i.e. Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, etc.,
- proof of age,
- proof of address,
- guardianship/custodianship documents (if applicable)
- immunization records – for City of Hamilton Public Health Services
- health card number - optional
Full-day Kindergarten
Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board is proud to announce that Full-Day Kindergarten will be available for four- and five-year-old students beginning in September 2010.
Full-Day Kindergarten lays the foundation for better reading, writing, and math skills. It will help children make a smoother transition to Grade 1. Full-Day Kindergarten also gives parents the opportunity to enroll their children in integrated before- and after-school programs.
Full-Day Early Learning-Kindergarten Programs for four- and five-year-olds will be available at the following schools in 2010:

French Immersion Senior Kindergarten
To enable children to become fluent in French, the French Immersion Program, which begins in Senior Kindergarten, is available at designated schools. Registration procedures will be the same as above. French Immersion is available to all public-school children living in Hamilton. For more information on French Immersion registration click here
These following schools also offer English Junior Kindergarten to siblings of children already in attendance, or for children of parents who intend to register their children in the French Immersion Programs in Senior Kindergarten. The "Out-of-Catchment Process" applies for attendance at "out-of catchment" French Immersion Schools.
French Immersion transportation (Grades 1-8) will be provided, on a limited basis, for the 2010 / 2011 school year. Please contact your French Immersion School for further details. The "Out-of-Catchment Process" applies for attendance at "out-of catchment" French Immersion Schools. The following schools also offer English Junior Kindergarten to siblings of children already in attendance, or for children of parents who intend to register their children in the French Immersion Programs in Senior Kindergarten.
