Throughout the month of May, students from across HWDSB will be showcased their talents at the HWDSB Arts Exhibit!

Taking place at the Education Centre (20 Education Court), the Exhibit featured pieces from students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 who have used a variety of mediums to create their art, including: watercolour, wood, ink, photography, and digital media.

Families interested in learning more about vaping prevention were invited to join Hamilton Public Health Services (HPHS) experts at Vaping: The Unfiltered Facts.

At this virtual information session for parents, guardians and caregivers, attendees learned about local data, health risks and strategies for talking to your child about vaping. Guest youth panelists also shared experiences and insight.

On May 4, HWDSB staff gathered at the Education Centre for the Spring Into Wellness Fair!

A day focused on mental health and well-being, the Fair hosts local organizations who provide accessible resources to help guests take care of their mind, body, and relationships with others.

Staff participated in a variety of wellness activities including reiki, getting a massage, and even cancer screening tests. Guests could also enter a Grand Prize draw to win a wellness prize pack, which includes: a 3-month GoodLife membership, a year-long membership to Hamilton Conservation Authority, gift cards to local wellness organizations, and more!

Thank you to HWDSB Staff Wellness for throwing a fun and educational event. What a great way to end off Mental Health Week!
